aisoul — privacy policy
effective 17 july 2026 · applies to the android app “AiSoul” (com.aisoul.app)
The short version: we run no servers and can see none of your data.
aisoul is a local-first AI app. Everything it knows about you lives as plain
files on your phone, readable and deletable by you. The app has no accounts,
no analytics, no ads, and no crash-reporting SDKs. The developer collects
nothing.
what the app stores, and where
- Your harness — conversations, memories, notes, and
widget definitions are files in the app's private storage on your device.
They never leave it except as described below.
- Your API keys — encrypted with a key held in the
Android Keystore, on the device. Keys are never included in backups, never
logged, and never sent anywhere except to the AI provider they belong to.
where data can travel — only at your direction
- Your AI provider. When you chat, your message and the
context files you've built are sent to the AI provider you
configured (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, or a compatible endpoint you
chose), using your own API key, over HTTPS. That data is handled under your
provider's terms — aisoul adds no middleman and keeps no copy anywhere else.
- Your Google Drive (optional). If you enable backup,
the app archives your harness, encrypts it on the phone with a
passphrase only you know (Argon2id + AES-256-GCM), and uploads it to an
“AiSoul Backups” folder in your own Drive. Google receives only the
encrypted archive and cannot read it; neither can we. The app uses the
narrow
drive.file permission, so it can only ever see files it
created. aisoul's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the
Google
API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- Reports you send. “Report this response” opens an
email in your own mail app containing exactly the response text shown to
you — nothing is sent unless you send it.
what we collect
Nothing. No accounts, no telemetry, no analytics, no
advertising identifiers, no device fingerprinting. We operate no backend that
could receive your data.
deleting your data
- Every file the AI knows you by is visible in the in-app file browser
and deletable there; “forget everything” wipes its memory.
- Uninstalling the app deletes all on-device data.
- Drive backups are ordinary files in your own Drive — delete the
“AiSoul Backups” folder at any time, or disconnect Drive in settings.
children
aisoul is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly process
their data.
changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published at this address with
a new effective date. The app never gains data collection silently.
